Mancan Staffing is currently seeking an experienced **CNC/Manual Lathe Machinist** for a manufacturing opportunity in **Donora, PA**. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist with strong blueprint-reading skills, precision measurement experience, and the ability to work with tight tolerances.

Job Responsibilities

* Operate both **CNC and manual lathes** safely and efficiently.
* Machine components while maintaining tight tolerances, including **.0005"** when required.
* Accurately use and read **micrometers** and other precision measuring equipment.
* Work with both **metric and standard/ASE measurement systems**, including conversions.
* Read and interpret **mechanical blueprints, inspection reports, work orders, and technical documents**.
* Plan machining operations based on work order specifications and job requirements.
* Safely operate **overhead cranes**.
* Follow quality control procedures and ensure finished work meets specifications.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Troubleshoot machining issues and use sound problem-solving skills to complete work accurately.

Requirements

* Previous **CNC and/or manual lathe machining experience** preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work with tight tolerances and precision measurements.
* Comfortable using micrometers and other measuring tools.
* Understanding of basic machining mathematics, including **geometry and algebra**.
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical documents, manuals, and inspection reports.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and material handling.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
* Ability to safely operate overhead cranes.
