Manager of Dining & Guest Experience (MOD)

At Casey J’s Tavern, great hospitality should feel genuine, comfortable, and effortless. We are looking for a hands-on Manager of Dining & Guest Experience who knows how to lead a busy dining room, support a strong team, and make every guest feel welcome.

This is an active, floor-focused leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action—not managing from the office. The MOD sets the tone for the shift, develops the front-of-house team, and ensures that our food, service, and atmosphere consistently reflect the Casey J’s experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily front-of-house operations and serve as the Manager on Duty
• Create a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest
• Maintain a visible presence in the dining room throughout each shift
• Coach servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff in real time
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate service priorities
• Monitor the pace and flow of service, adjusting staffing and floor coverage as needed
• Build relationships with guests and respond promptly to questions or concerns
• Partner with the culinary team to ensure accurate, timely, and well-presented food
• Support employee training, development, recognition, and accountability
• Uphold standards for hospitality, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities
• Support restaurant sales, guest satisfaction, and overall financial performance
• Help create a positive workplace where employees feel supported and take pride in their work

Requirements

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience
• Strong front-of-house and guest-service experience
• A natural leader who is approachable, calm, and confident
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to coach employees and address performance concerns professionally
• Comfort working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• A genuine passion for hospitality, teamwork, and taking care of people
