Executive Director/Primary Development Officer – Team Up! With Families, Inc.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive and primary development officer of Team Up! With Families, Inc. (TU). Based in Waukesha, TU serves more than 8,300 people annually through Katy's Kloset, Wisconsin's largest recycler and redistributor of donated medical equipment and supplies, and activities such as Team Up for Fun! Day Camp. The ED provides leadership for fundraising, operations, programs, finances, staff, volunteers, and community partnerships while advancing TU's mission. This exempt, 30-hour-per-week position reports to a nine-member Board of Directors.

Annual Budget: $300K

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan; cultivate individual donors, foundations and corporations.
• Lead major gifts, grant development and donor stewardship.
• Oversee programs, finances, operations, technology, compliance, and organizational performance. supervise, and retain staff and volunteers while fostering a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and organizational guidance.
• Strengthen TU brand through strategic communications, social media, and community partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Commitment to TU's mission.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated success growing revenue, managing budgets, leading teams and working effectively with a Board of Directors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial, collaborative, adaptable, and results-oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and the ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, and communicate effectively.

ABOUT TEAM UP! WITH FAMILIES

TU engages more than 3,000 donors annually, distributes over 17,000 pieces of medical equipment and redirects more than 33 tons of surplus medical supplies to international medical missions. Through Team Up for Fun! Day Camp, TU also provides an inclusive summer experience for children with disabilities and their siblings, helping families have fun while building independence and lasting connections.
