Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This opening is for a hospital facility in Rhinebeck, NY. The role focuses on Blood Bank testing within a busy clinical laboratory and requires independent practice and attention to regulatory and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related laboratory science field as required by the client.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist license for New York State required.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience, including Blood Bank experience.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory and perform independent testing and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in hospital-based clinical laboratories.
• Experience with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00-15:30.
• Shift pattern: Rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
• May be required to work other shifts as needed, including evening coverage.
