Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional competency, with experience in providing specialized cardiac care to adult patients in a high-acuity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver complex monitoring and treatment for adult cardiac patients in an 8-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).Receive and provide care for patients transitioning from the Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care areas.Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for patients while maintaining a safe and secure environment.Maintain familiarity with the Meditech charting system and contribute to accurate patient documentation.QualificationsMust hold an ASN degree.Possess a valid nursing license in Alabama or a compact nursing license.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred; however, candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered if working under the highest level of professional license, including at least 1 year of experience in cardiac care.Certifications required: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. PALS certification is necessary if working in the pediatric unit.Additional InformationFlexibility is required as the candidate must be willing to float to other units and facilities as needed.The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts under certain conditions with minimal notice.Orientation consists of 16 hours of non-billable time.Overtime compensation applies after a specified number of hours worked weekly.Successful completion of a Dysrhythmia Basic exam is required during onboarding, with limited attempts allowed.This position provides an opportunity for professional growth and the ability to make a significant impact on patient care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
