Responsibilities The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x‑ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician, and also supports in other areas of the facility. Radiologic Technologist Duties Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x‑ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions, assist with positioning, explain procedures, and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort. Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjust exposure and distance per specifications, and take x‑rays following established requirements and regulations. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members. Maintain equipment in working order; report malfunctions to the Center Operations Director. Ensure Radiology workflows are followed and reports cross correctly to EMR. Follow documentation procedures and complete required reports related to the patient x‑ray visit. Maintain all x‑ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record‑keeping per current policy. Medical Assistant Duties Perform DOT and non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing. Prepare patients for physical examinations: take vital signs, perform ancillary testing (vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram, respirator fit testing) per state regulations. Conduct rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.). Assist providers during examination and treatment. Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician and triage emergent patients as needed. Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set‑up and injury care. Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered. Dispense medications and DME in compliance with state regulations. Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices. Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms. Operate medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record‑keeping per policy. Notify supervisor of equipment issues, needed supplies, or operational problems. Assist with patient flow and volume in partnership with center leadership. Keep patients informed of expected wait times. Handle clerical tasks in the front and back office, ensuring accurate documentation. Perform front office duties: greet, obtain authorization, check‑in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi‑line phone system, distribute employer results. Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules. Attend staff meetings or huddles as required. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly facility appearance. Complete applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training. Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable state certification. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with active, valid certification. CPR/First Aid Certification. Job‑Related Experience At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology. Preferred: Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state‑specific) with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service experience. Obtain all necessary certifications (e.g., Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol, Hair and Oral Fluids). Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the range of $28.31 to $44.00 hourly depending on job‑related factors as permitted by applicable law.
