Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Providing technical leadership for complex workers' compensation claims, the full-time Claims Consultant will manage high-exposure cases, conduct audits, and mentor claims professionals while working remotely across various states. Key responsibilities Provide strategic direction and oversight on complex claims, ensuring effective investigations and management Conduct monthly Plan of Action meetings and claim reviews for high-exposure cases, guiding critical management decisions Deliver coaching and mentoring to claims professionals while supporting the development of training programs Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred Ten or more years of progressively responsible claims experience, particularly in workers' compensation and commercial liability Extensive experience managing complex litigation and high-exposure claims strongly preferred AIC, SCLA, and CSRP designations preferred Claims Adjusting License preferred
