Transportation Program Manager

Responsibilities Provide transportation analysis with focus on business unit/supply chain requirements Provide recommendations on freight cost savings and streamlining opportunities Provide quarterly reports to business units that include cost savings opportunities and results Resolve shipping issues and make recommendations for process improvements Conduct carrier RFP for domestic and international transportation Execute and enable carriers for domestic and international transportation Maintaining the list of approved carriers and the routing guide; training and enforcing the use of the routing guide Conduct quarterly business reviews with the business units and carriers Preparation of shipping forecasts Working with business units to maximize transportation savings potential and providing quarterly status reports Taking corrective action with carriers in the event of service failures Monitor and develop transportation key performance indicators (KPIs). Education & Experience 7+ years of work experience managing transportation for a company the size of Coherent Experience in carrier or other related third party management Experience with Oracle Transportation Management tool or other Transportation Management system Experience in contractual and negotiation management Skills Proficiency in MS Office skills (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.) Knowledge of creating process flow diagrams (Microsoft Visio) Knowledge of databases and Power BI is an advantage Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
