Corporate Accountant

Company Description:

Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).

What you'll do:

• Responsible for reconciling all corporate bank accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Responsible for administering the corporate spend card program, including transaction review, reconciliation, policy compliance monitoring, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
• Monitor and maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare regulatory filings, tax-related schedules, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with finance, payroll, accounts payable, and other departments.
• Responsible for assisting with KPI and other reports.
• Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• ERP system knowledge such as Syteline, IQMS, SAP or Sage, preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
