Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist

This is a day shift position, working Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The role involves direct patient interaction, preparing and administering contrast media, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to established standards and protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Adhere to safety procedures, including radiation safety and infection control.
• Administer contrast media as needed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Ensure quality control of images and maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the best imaging approach for each patient.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC charting system required.
• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of MRI experience; first-time travelers with 3 years of experience will be considered.
