You’ll love it here! The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for the preparation, distribution, and control of sterile injectable medications. Roles and responsibilities include chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy sterile compounding, record keeping (refrigerator temperature logs and hood cleaning), drug distribution and maintaining inventory. All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You are required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health Job Qualifications We are seeking a dedicated clinical professional with: Ability to compound chemotherapy utilizing departmental guidelines for the preparation/distribution of cytotoxic agents- required At least 1 year of IV sterile compounding pharmacy experience- required Skill in preparing intravenous solutions using aseptic technique. Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations. Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision. Skill in computer order entry of medication orders as well as other related computer entry tasks and computer report generation. Telephone and verbal skills required to communicate clearly and effectively with pharmacists, nurses, physicians and other health professionals. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching. Ability to lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
