Role Description The Recovery Specialist is a part-time, on-site role located in Newburyport, MA, responsible for supporting residents in their recovery and daily living activities. This role includes monitoring client safety and well-being, facilitating recovery-focused groups, and providing encouragement and guidance in alignment with program goals and policies. The Recovery Specialist will assist clients with navigating appointments, community resources, and insurance-related processes, while maintaining accurate documentation and incident reports as needed. Daily tasks also include collaborating with clinical and administrative staff, participating in team meetings, and helping to maintain a structured, respectful, and supportive environment. The position may require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on program needs. Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build respectful, supportive relationships with clients and colleagues. Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening. Knowledge of addiction recovery principles, relapse prevention, and recovery-oriented support practices. Basic understanding of insurance and healthcare coverage processes, with the ability to help clients navigate resources. Experience providing or participating in training, education, or group facilitation related to recovery or human services. Prior experience in substance use recovery, behavioral health, or residential program settings is preferred. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and follow organizational policies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in human services, counseling, or related fields are beneficial. Reliable attendance, ability to work scheduled shifts on-site in Newburyport, MA, and capacity to respond calmly in crisis situations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
