Position Summary

Prepares and serves beverages and food to customers in bars and restaurants following the Brands core Steps of Service. Recommends wines and beers to customers upon request. Creates food pairings with wines and beers to enhance menu offerings. Works in assigned restaurant location as determined by management.

Responsibilities

Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining company standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.Greets guests warmly with a smile, making eye contact; checks for table setting completenessMixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to Brand specifications; pours beer and wineOffers food menus to guests; offers all coffee services and prepared drinksMaintains thorough knowledge of wine and local and general beer inventory; makes suggestions to guests upon requestAnswers all guest questions or finds appropriate answers for guestsCommunicates all daily food and drink specials to guests; Takes accurate food and beverage ordersDemonstrates knowledge of all menu offerings, food, and drink pairings, and gives detailed descriptions of each itemAbility to accurately enter all orders into the point-of-sale system; updates bar tab with all ordersEnsures guest satisfactionOffers up-selling opportunities to all guestsVerifies ages of guests ordering alcoholic beverages; responsibly serves alcoholMonitors and reports intoxicated guest to MODAids in moving and installing kegs, CO2 tanks and soda mixesWashes glassware, containers and other bar utensils as requiredDemonstrates appropriate wine service techniques when presenting tableside wine serviceAnticipates your guests needs, including refilling drinks and replenishing flatwareAssists other servers and bartenders as needed; is aware of and alerts other crewmembers of customers' needsDetermines when guests have completed their meals and removes dirty dishes, flatware, and napkinsPrepares and presents itemized bill to guests; receives and processes payment by cash, credit card, or airline voucherAdheres to MCA cash handling policies and proceduresServes food to customers seated in the restaurant and bar as neededMaintains a spotless working environment, including tabletops, bases, chairs, banquettes, TV's, glass partitions, server stations, beverage stations, table set-ups, glassware, flatware, etc.Cleans entire front and back of bar, including bottles, walk-in, low boys, and reach-insOrders and maintains the stock of liquor, wine, and beer by completing a pull sheet at the end of the shift, and turning into appropriate locationFully stocks bar at beginning of each shift, including ice, fruit, beverages, juices, and mixersParticipates in daily side-work tasks, including but not limited to stocking glasses, linens, flatware, and condimentsClean and preset tables for next customersMaintains knowledge of airport, terminal, and restaurants; offers information, recommendations, MCA and Brand history, etc.Maintains a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and adheres to all uniform and appearance guidelinesSweeps and mops as neededPerforms other duties and side-work as assigned
