Description HealthCall is a state-of-the-art, natural environment clinic located in Royal Oak. We have a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of BCBAs, BCaBAs, SLPs, OTs, and MDs who work together to ensure a comprehensive approach to therapy services. Our organization is female-led and values each staff member’s work-life balance. We work during working hours, not during our personal time. Our emphasis is on each child’s clinical outcomes and our service to the community rather than on productivity measures and billable hours. The BCBAs here may select from full-time or part-time schedule options, with four- and five-day work-week options at the full-time level. There is a formal BCBA / BCaBA mentoring program for individuals who have less than one year of licensure and / or who are new to the organization. For BCBAs with more experience, there are Lead BCBA and teaching / mentoring opportunities through HealthCall’s Practicum Program. At HealthCall, occupational therapy services are part of the Behavioral Services division; clients are 16 months – 10 years of age. All services are provided in accordance with a plan of care. The Occupational Therapist’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: initial and interim assessment and evaluation of client’s level of functioning, including sensory profiles; problem identification and goal setting; development of the plan of treatment; provision of occupational therapy services in accordance with the plan of treatment; revision of the plan of treatment as needed; interdisciplinary coordination and adherence to the plan of care; client/family education as appropriate; evaluation and recommendation of mechanisms to enhance the client’s independence and quality of life; and timely recording of evaluation data, treatments, client’s response to therapy interventions. 15 minutes blocked time between clients so work can be completed during regular business hours and weekly blocked time for all-team meeting. Hold a Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Hold a current, unencumbered license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Michigan. Have a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience as an occupational therapist. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Current BLS certification. Valid Michigan State driver’s license with current automobile insurance coverage (where applicable). Reliable means of transportation.
