RN - Registered Nurse - Pre/Post PACU

Summary Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for utilizing the nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation – to provide individualized care to patients. Responsibilities Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age‑ and population‑specific standards. Provide care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up along the continuum of care. Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessment, provide patient education, triage, and perform various nursing interventions. Operate within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and applicable administrative rules. Recognize and apply the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for nurses as published by the American Nurses Association. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area. Experience in providing nursing practice over the telephone requires licensure in the states where patients reside.
