Director of Financial Reporting

DescriptionFantastic opportunity for a well recognized and reputable company currently searching for a Director of Financial Reporting. This is a high visibility position with direct communication to Corporate Controller, CFO, and Board. The director will be responsible for: Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative and commitment towards meeting strict deadlines and completing assignments efficiently and with attention to detail. Demonstrate comprehensive and advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting requirements of the SEC including all technical aspects of the accounting for: Stock Based Compensation. Leases Revenue recognition XBRL Preparation of monthly business review reports for distribution to the Board and senior management. Assist legal department with various type of legal SEC filings (i.e. Proxy, Annual Meeting, 8-K, Registration Statements, etc.) Assist with preparation of information for quarterly investor calls Interact with internal and external auditors regarding SEC and GAAP reporting matters and audits. Oversee certain SOX 404 accounting processes through all phases of documentation, testing and remediation. Reviews documentation on a routine basis to ensure it remains current and accurate. Organize and run on a quarterly basis the Company’s disclosure committee meeting Coordinate 10Q/K certification process Design, write and ensure effective and practical implementation of corporate policies relating to financial reporting. Monitor current developments in SEC and GAAP accounting policies and disclosure requirements through use of accounting research tools and discussions with management. Assesses the impact of relevant guidance on the Company's accounting and disclosures in Company’s SEC filings and earnings releases. Prepare memoranda supporting Company’s position and the impact on the Company. Ability to build critical business relationships internally and externally. A proven leader with a focus on communication and team development. Provide management decision support and critical analysis Drive process design, implementation and improvement Assist with system implementation related to financial reporting Strong analytical ability and strong business acumen Fully developed written and verbal communications skills.
