Mechanical Engineer

Engineer IIAs an Engineer II, you will be assisting with the design and layout of new projects. You will start to lead smaller scope projects, working with a team of engineers, taking responsibility for the drawing details and BOM checking responsibilities of various projects.Duties/Responsibilities:Assist and lead layout and design of material handling projectsAssist and lead in the generation and checking of project equipment lists based on project needPrepare detail drawings and drawing packages that highlight how equipment is to be installedGenerate PE / Permit drawing packages to submit to local jurisdictions for project permittingTravel to active job sites and support the installation and commissioning of Trew's material handling equipmentGeneral commissioning / checkout documentation validate proper installation of Trew's material handling equipmentParticipate and lead system design reviews, and generate notes to be distributed to the project teamRequired Skills/Abilities:Great oral and written communication skillsProficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experienced knowledge of drafting software (AutoCAD)Ability to multitask, prioritize, define schedule, and manage time efficientlyHighly motivated, ambitious, and attentive to detailEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field2-5 years of related experience, preferably in the material handling industryWork Environment:This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Physical Requirements Required to stand, walk and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
