Part Time Radiologist

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible veterinary radiologist to join our expanding Department of Diagnostic Imaging part time. The pay range reflected below is the pay range for a full‑time radiologist and this part‑time radiologist will be paid pro‑rata based on the full‑time salary range listed below. Qualifications Board‑certified or board‑eligible veterinarian in the American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of New York. Strong interest and clinical competence in small animal radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, CT and MRI. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a collegial teaching environment. Clinical and Service Responsibilities Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies for the teaching hospital and referral veterinarians. Work a 4‑day/week schedule with one work‑from‑home day and some weekends. Service responsibilities may also include institutional committee work, continuing education, and contributing to professional organizations. Teaching and Research Instruct and supervise interns and residents in internal medicine, critical care, and surgery. Participate in research and pursue opportunities within AMC and the biomedical community of New York City. Teach residents, prep for the ACVR board exam, and collaborate with the Bronx Zoo.
