General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Location 2100 N Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Clovis, NM 88101-9412 Position Overview Full‑Scope general surgery practice. Dedicated physician, APC, and RN support in OR and clinic. First assist in OR. Responsibilities Performs history and physical assessments. Manages acute and chronic conditions. Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic x‑ray and lab tests. Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families, and groups. Works autonomously as well as collaborates with other health care providers as needed. Performs health maintenance activities. Assists in surgery. Serves as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants, and patient advocate. Administers preventative health care methods. Performs periodic hospital rounding on inpatients. Performs possible in‑patient health care. Performs other functions as required. Nurse Practitioner Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing. New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license. Federal and state DEA license. ANCC certification. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. Physician Assistant Qualifications Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant. Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. Benefits We offer more than the standard benefits!
