Industrial Electrician

• Duties*
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including control wiring and 480 volt wiring on industrial equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize automation processes within manufacturing lines.
• Assist with construction activities including renovation projects, and general maintenance tasks related to electrical installations.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and local regulations pertaining to systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for new installations or upgrades.
• *Requirements*
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading.
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations in industrial environments.
• Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming tasks.
• Familiarity with NEC standards.
• Strong knowledge of schematics interpretation, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation related to electrical systems.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial construction projects is highly desirable.
• Capable of reading blueprints accurately and translating them into practical wiring solutions.
• Ability to troubleshooting diverse issues across multiple trades is advantageous.
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces while maintaining safety protocols.
