Dynamics 365 Business Central Analyst

Salary: $74,000 - 96,000 per year Requirements:

• We seek a candidate with a bachelors degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• We require at least three years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV in a production environment.
• We require business analysis experience, including gathering requirements, documenting processes, and translating business needs into system configuration or enhancement requests.
• We prefer experience supporting or participating in an ERP implementation, module rollout, or major upgrade.
• We expect basic familiarity with system integrations, such as APIs, flat-file or EDI transfers, middleware, and scheduled data jobs. This is not a developer role, but the successful candidate should be able to work effectively with technical integration resources.
• Experience in industrial, utility, energy, engineering, or project-based services is a plus, given our multi-entity platform across power plant maintenance, engineering, and specialty services.
• We value strong working knowledge of relevant Business Central modules, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Fixed Assets, Jobs and Projects, Purchasing, or Inventory.
• We value the ability to work directly with Finance and Operations stakeholders and translate between business needs and system configuration.
• We seek strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities across a multi-entity business.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel, is a plus.

• We rely on this role to own day-to-day administration of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment, including users, security roles, permissions, approval workflows, and system settings.
• We expect the role to configure and maintain core system setup, including chart of accounts, dimensions, number series, and posting groups, in line with Finance and Operations needs.
• We ask this role to monitor system health, data integrity, and performance; troubleshoot issues; and escalate matters to Microsoft or implementation partners when needed.
• We expect the role to manage sandbox and production environments, coordinate updates and patches, and support release and change management.
• We rely on this role to partner with Finance, Operations, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into configurations, reports, or enhancement requests.
• We ask the role to document current and future business processes and identify ways to simplify or automate manual work through Business Central or the Power Platform.
• We expect the role to lead or support functional testing, user acceptance testing, and change management for new modules, features, and process changes.
• We ask the role to create and maintain Business Central reports, dashboards, and saved views, and Power BI materials where applicable.
• We expect the role to support integrations between Business Central and other enterprise systems, working with IT and vendors to document requirements, triage issues, and coordinate technical support.
• We rely on this role to support data migration, cleansing, and master data governance, including work related to acquisitions and onboarding new entities.
• We expect the role to serve as our primary internal tier 1/2 contact for Business Central user questions, and to develop training materials, job aids, and onboarding resources.
• We ask the role to maintain awareness of ERP controls and segregation-of-duties considerations, partnering with Finance and Internal Audit as needed.
• We expect the role to maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and change logs, and to support Business Central vendor and license management with IT leadership.
• We ask this role to participate in IT governance, including change management and security reviews, as our Business Central subject-matter expert.
