Essential Job Functions Service ContractSupervisor is responsible for scheduling, training and inspecting workcompleted by employees. ServiceContract Supervisor is involved in hiring and terminating employees. Adherence to Contract Services standards, Scope ofServices/ Statements of Work are a priority. Trains employees to useequipment properly and safely. Completes times sheets for payroll data entry; reviewspayroll records for accuracy. Orders supplies, reconciles deliveries to orders, and maintainsequipment and equipment maintenance records. Performs maintenance and repair on plumbing,electrical, building and lawn equipment as required in the scope ofwork. Operates powered equipment including but not limitedto mowers, power edgers, power trimmers, power saws, power blowers,power hedge trimmers and pressure washers in a safe and effective mannerproducing the results as described in the scope of work. Operates a company vehicle, occasionally pulling alawn trailer with lawn equipment. Operates power equipment from lift equipment, laddresand/or scaffolding to perform maintenance and repair as required by thescope of work. Provides direct and indirect training and support forclient/non client employees on an individual basis; provide positivereinforcement; serves as a role model; addresses behavior/performanceproblems. Maintains client/non client employee files; documentsclient/non client employee progress according to contractregulations. Completes all required reports on a daily, weekly,monthly and annual basis to meet regulations. Communicates effectively, orally and in writing withemployees, the public, NISH/RESPECT, other agencies, etc.; ensurescompliance with the rules and regulations of the contract. Operates standard office equipment to performessential functions. Qualification Requirements Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Education and/or Experience High school diplomaor GED and two (2) years experience in human services, janitorial and /orlandscaping business includingsupervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and/orexperience which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills: Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Good knowledge ofthe basic principles, methods, practices and procedures used in vocationallabor and trades specific to janitorial and /or landscaping contracts. Knowledge of the chemicals and hazards associated with cleaning suppliesand/or lawn equipment. Ability to plan, instruct, assign and supervise employees with orwithout disabling conditions or functional limitations. Ability to inspect work and make recommendations for improvement. Ability to utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourageemployees to obtain their maximum potential. Ability to intervene and utilize de-escalation skill techniques toensure the safety and well being of all employees. Necessary Special Requirements Possession of a valid Florida driver'slicense and acceptable driving record ifrequired to drive SMA vehicle and/or use personalvehicle for SMA business.Proof of personal automobile insurance if the position requires you to driveyour own vehicle for SMAbusiness (does not include incidental use). Complete State of Florida mandatory level 2 backgroundscreening prior to start of employment if direct contact withchildren/adolescents, vulnerable adults, or the developmentally disabled maybe involved. Complete Mandt training,CPR, First Aid and AIDStraining during the first six (6) months of employment and updated ifrequired. Physical Mobilityand ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day. Able to lift minimum10 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, intervene,treat, and record client health care needs. Fine motor skills for legible andaccurate charting, daily correspondence and presentation, either manually ororally. Work endurance ability to work 8-12 hour shifts with a meal break, aspossible.
