About the Position

2013SG - Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Needed in Beautiful SE Alaska!

We currently have a need for locum tenens physician assistant or nurse practitioner in Southeast Alaska. The advanced practice provider (PA/NP) will be responsible for primary and emergency care of patients in a small, rural facility. This position will require you to treat patients in clinic as well as take solo emergency on-call.  This is an in-clinic, 40-hour-per-week position, and will share on-call for emergency with other medical providers.

OVERVIEW:

• Locum Tenens
• Outpatient Clinic + Shared On-Call
• Option to pick between 2 schedules!
  • Schedule 1: Clinic Friday, Monday, Tuesday 8AM-5PM and On-Call Friday night to Tuesday morning at 8AM 
  • Schedule 2: Clinic M-F 8AM-5PM, 1-2 nights of call/week, and 2-3 weekends a month. The weekend shift will replace a weekday clinic coverage day in the same pay period/week.
• Patient volume (clinic) 16 patients per day
• Patient volume (call) - variable 

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

• Pay: $86/hour for the first 8 hours/day + $129/hour (OT) for anything over 8 hours/day & Callback + $200 per on call shift. 
• 1099 contractor position

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License with State of Alaska
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
• Active DEA Registration
• Two (2) years of experience in emergency medicine
