Contract Type: Travel Contract

Candidate Pay Rate: $52.50 per hour

Education

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Surgical services - colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, ortho
medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney and GI conditions.
Experience or 'Must have' skills Basic medical/surgical relevant and current experience.
Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
Common titratable &/or set rate drips NA
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, and yes
Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? Yes, ratio vary
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Not in Med/Surg
respiratory is readily available to assist. We do N/C on floors
Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? Remote tele monitoring
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) We assign staff to need areas.
Weekend Requirement Yes, every other
Holiday Requirement No
Is there Call or a Standby requirement? No
Floating Requirements Yes to any Med/Surg pod
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Navy/no
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3
