Surgical Technologist

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team on a Part-Time basis. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aiding the professional nurse or physician in providing patient care to those patients requiring surgical procedures during the operative and immediate post-operative surgery. Essential Functions: Prepares the Operating Room for patients Keeping the operating room clean and sterile Passing instruments and other sterile supplies Routine inspection of sterile supplies Understand the sterilization process Position Requirements: Required: Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in Central Service skills Preferred Professional Experience: One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred Required Certification: Current BLS certification Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements. Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
