Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta SouthwestUnion City, GA 30291Pay: $15–$17 per hourJob Type: Part-timeLocation: In-person care provided in clients’ homes in and around Union CityAbout the PositionSeniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to provide non-medical personal care and daily living support to older adults in the Union City area.Personal Care Assistants work one-on-one with clients according to an established service plan. We are looking for dependable caregivers who are comfortable providing hands-on assistance and working independently in a client’s home.ResponsibilitiesDepending on the client’s service plan and your demonstrated competency, duties may include:Assist with bathing, showering, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toiletingAssist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, gait belts, and approved mobility devicesProvide continence and personal hygiene assistanceAssist with eating, nutrition, and hydrationPrepare and serve mealsObserve and report changes in condition, skin concerns, safety risks, or other client concernsTake and record vital signs when assigned and trainedProvide medication reminders within the permitted PCA roleProvide companionship and safety supervisionPerform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changesProvide transportation or escort assistance when assignedFollow infection-control and safety proceduresRespond appropriately to emergencies and follow incident-reporting proceduresComplete accurate and timely care documentationFollow the client’s service plan and remain within the Personal Care Assistant scope of practiceThese duties are consistent with the PCA competencies SHS uses for personal care assignments, including transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility, eating assistance, documentation, infection control, and reporting changes in condition.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver’s licenseReliable transportation to client homesAutomobile insurance when driving is required for an assignmentAbility to work independently in a client’s homeAbility to follow written service plans and instructionsStrong communication and documentation skillsPrevious experience providing care to older adults preferredPCA, CNA, HHA, or related caregiving experience preferredCPR and First Aid certification preferred; training opportunities may be availableMust successfully demonstrate competency before performing assigned personal care dutiesMust meet applicable Georgia direct-care employment screening requirementsEmployment RequirementsBefore client assignment, employees must complete applicable onboarding requirements, which may include:Georgia-required criminal background screeningFingerprinting when applicableEmployee health screeningRequired TB documentation or appropriate medical clearanceOrientation and required trainingCompetency evaluation for assigned Personal Care Assistant dutiesSHS’s current employment process requires direct-care employees to meet health-screening and applicable TB documentation requirements before client assignment.What We Offer$15–$17 per hourFlexible schedulingPart-time opportunities with potential for additional hoursMileage reimbursement for approved work-related travelCPR and First Aid training opportunitiesContinuing education and caregiver trainingEmployee referral opportunitiesCaregiver recognition programsPaid time off for eligible employeesPerformance incentive opportunitiesBenefits and incentives are subject to applicable eligibility requirements.About Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta SouthwestSeniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest provides non-medical home care services that help older adults remain safe and independent in their homes.Our caregivers provide personal care, companionship, meal support, transportation, household assistance, respite care, and other approved services based on each client’s individual service plan.Seniors Helping Seniors Atlanta Southwest is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Seniors Helping Seniors
