As a Fire Protection Service Technician focused on portable extinguishers, you’ll blend technical skill with customer care to ensure equipment is installed, inspected, and maintained to the highest standards. How You’ll Make an Impact Carry out scheduled on-site inspections for fire extinguishers across commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. Perform maintenance, testing, recharging, and servicing aligned with FDNY and NFPA 10 standards. Install extinguishers and related equipment, validating placement and compliance. Use our mobile app to complete precise inspection reports and service records. Provide clear explanations and practical safety tips to customers. Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal fire safety regulations. Safely drive and maintain a company vehicle and tools. What It Takes High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Excellent communication and a service-oriented approach. Self-starter who learns fast and takes initiative. Physical capability to lift and carry fire protection equipment. Experience is a plus; not required—paid training provided.
