Job Summary and Qualifications

Under direct supervision of the manager and general direction of the manager this position coordinates multiple facets of the Medical Centers infection control program. Responsibility includes surveillance, prevention and control of nosocomial and community acquired infections among patients. Performs data analysis which guides follow-up activities and evaluates effectiveness of control measures. Provides education to staff and physicians. As needed, support of other quality metrics, monitoring and auditing may be required.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CIC) Certified in Infection Control must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
