Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves providing specialized care to telemetry patients, including post-cardiac procedures and managing cardiac drips. The role requires proficiency in telemetry strip reading, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with healthcare team members. The scheduled shifts are nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; NIH Stroke Scale certification required; 30 months RN or LPN nursing experience; ability to care for 6 telemetry patients post-cardiac procedures such as PCI, PPM, ICD, or Ablations; proficient in reading telemetry strips; successful completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel nursing experience in telemetry or cardiac units; experience with phlebotomy and respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers); knowledge of management of cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Dobutamine
• Additional Information: Ability to work with mobile equipment including i-Mobile phones, mobile computer workstations on wheels, and Lab drawers; ability to float to emergency department or PCU as needed; adherence to unit-specific policies and guidelines; dress code is navy uniform
