Rehab Med-Surg combines medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation, focusing on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury to restore function and independence through therapies (physical, occupational, speech) and specialized medical/nursing care, often in an inpatient setting, aiming to improve quality of life by treating the whole person PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER TO THIS ASSIGNMENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANOTHER PERM PLACEMENT OR TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT. Coordinates total nursing care for patients

Participates in patient and family teaching

Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting

• 2 years recent Med Surg & Rehab experience - [Required]
• May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg
• MUST be willing to float to other units as needed (within scope of practice) [Required]
• CHARGE RN EXPERIENCE [REQUIRED]
• Previous Travel (at least 3 months) - [Required]
• BSN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing [Strongly Preferred]

NOTE MT ASCUTNEY 3 STRIKE RULE FOR CALL OFFS (enforced immediately):

• After 3 call offs, a traveler's contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center's discretion
• Each call off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
