Senior Director, Client Service Executive Manager

Job Description We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Client Service Executive Manager to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Strategic Leadership and Service Model Execution Co-author, evolve, and execute the client service strategy and service operating model across Private Banking, Trust and Planning, and Wealth Management. Define the vision, standards, and governance required to deliver a differentiated, consistent, and scalable client service experience across regions and client solutions. Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, execution milestones, adoption goals, and measurable business outcomes. Establish operating rhythms, governance forums, and leadership routines that drive accountability, transparency, and consistent execution. Ensure the client service organization is positioned to support growth, business change, and evolving client expectations while maintaining service quality and control discipline. National Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Lead regional client service managers and provide oversight across a multi-layered national service organization. Build a strong leadership bench by coaching and developing senior leaders, supporting succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Directly manage senior leaders and indirectly lead a broad organization supporting multiple business lines and service functions. Set clear expectations for leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, and performance outcomes across the organization. Create an environment that empowers leaders and teams to operate autonomously, make sound decisions, and deliver consistently strong results. Client Experience and Operational Excellence Drive a client-centric service culture focused on responsiveness, precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Define and manage performance scorecards aligned to client experience, service quality, productivity, operational effectiveness, and control outcomes. Use client feedback, service metrics, and operational data to identify trends, uncover root causes, and prioritize strategic and tactical improvements. Serve as an executive escalation point for complex client and service issues, driving resolution and sustainable fixes in partnership with business and functional stakeholders. Lead initiatives to improve consistency, scalability, resilience, and efficiency across the client service organization. Cross-Functional Partnership and Enterprise Influence Partner closely with regional market leaders, advisors, bankers, trust professionals, and enterprise functions to align service delivery with business priorities and client needs. Work across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Training, and Quality Assurance to remove friction, modernize service capabilities, and strengthen organizational effectiveness. Influence decision-making across a complex, matrixed organization, balancing client needs, business objectives, operational constraints, and risk considerations. Communicate strategy, performance, risks, and improvement priorities effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the enterprise. Risk Management and Governance Strengthen the control environment across the client service organization by reinforcing sound operating practices, clear accountability, and disciplined oversight. Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and BNY policies and procedures. Partner with Risk and Compliance leaders to proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate operational, conduct, regulatory, and reputational risks. Ensure the service organization’s control environment evolves alongside growth, business complexity, and process change. Promote a culture in which risk awareness, accountability, and strong judgment are embedded into daily operations and leadership decisions. Transformation, Change, and Continuous Improvement Lead enterprise-scale programs and change initiatives that improve service delivery, support scalability, and enhance the client and employee experience. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve technology enablement, strengthen workflows, and increase service resilience. Champion sustainable improvements that deliver measurable impact across client satisfaction, operating efficiency, employee effectiveness, and risk outcomes. Bring deep understanding of Private Banking, Trust, and Wealth Management products, platforms, and client needs to help shape future-state service capabilities. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, with an MBA preferred. 15+ years of total work experience with at least 5-7 years of management experience preferred. Experience in an operational area and/or client services preferred. Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Required licenses: Series 7, 63/65 or 66, and 9/10 or 24. Significant experience leading leaders, including oversight of senior managers and broad, distributed service organizations.
