RN Emergency Room

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialities in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, Operating Room. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. Daily tasks include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Critical to this role is strong communication and strong collaboration with patients, providers, and other members of our team. At least 2 years of experience and exceptional skill is required. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
• Perform patient assessments and administer medications as prescribed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage case coordination and hospice care for patients with advancing age, frailty, or serious illness.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital, home health, or hospice care experience.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Emergency Room nursing or critical care environments.
• Additional certifications related to specialty areas like ICU, ER, or Medical/Surgical nursing.

Special Considerations:

• Position requires working 12-hour night shifts in the Emergency Room.
• Ability to respond to urgent and emergent patient care needs.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is critical.

Scheduling:

• 12-hour night shifts, schedule determined by department needs.
• Shift assignments may require flexibility to ensure adequate coverage.
