About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our team in Kailua, HI. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support childrens learning, curiosity and development. The ideal candidate creates a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that fosters a love for learning.
What You'll Do- Assist creating an engaging learning environment.
- Develop meaningful relationships wtih children
- Support the individual needs of each child
- Engage in keeping children safe through supervision during outoor play, lunch, and transitions between school activities.
- Prepare classroom and outdoor learning environments with developmentally appropriate materials, keeping materials well stocked and organized
- Collaborate with teaching team to observe and follow the interest of children and track skills and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting check
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain one quickly.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.

Our beautiful campus is located right along the Kawainui marsh providing a space surrounded by nature. We have active and supportive families that are a valuable part of our program.
We are seeking a preschool teacher's assistant that values this important time in a child's development by working as a team player, planning an engaging and hands-on curriculum, committed to learning, and growing as a professional in the field.
Sunshine School preschool Teacher’s aide will strive to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that emphasizes the importance of each child's individual needs, through activities that support the children's social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical needs. Supporting the teacher in planning, creating an engaging environment, and children's development.
