Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high‑quality images for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process. Essential Work Functions Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position them appropriately. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high‑quality images to the radiologist for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities – Must remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and using department equipment. Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and maintain continuous concentration to detail.
