Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week; every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) Highlights: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 34-bed daily census and 44 total beds 12-week assignment with 32 hours of orientation Epic charting system (preferred experience) Float pool participation required within the facility system Adult and geriatric patient populations First-time travelers welcome with manager approval Requirements: Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 1 year of current, acute care PCU or telemetry experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation Proficiency with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips Strong skills in IV starts, peripheral line management, and oxygen administration Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal supervisor) Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking progressive care experience in a dynamic environment.
