Reporting directly to the Controller and partnering closely with the CFO, this role will be instrumental in strengthening daily accounting operations, enhancing financial reporting, and preparing the company for continued growth. This position is based in Austin and follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.Key ResponsibilitiesActively manage the close process and produce clean, audit-ready financials monthly.Drive compliance to SaaS-related accounting, including revenue recognition and deferred revenue managementLead the development of audit-ready PBC schedules and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors. Familiarity with QoE audits preferred.Build/maintain the deferred revenue waterfall and rev rec memos.Anticipate adjustments, normalize EBITDA add-backs, revenue quality issues like customer concentration or churn embedded in deferred revenue, and one-time items.Ability to defend the numbers, being able to explain why a number is what it is under pressure and produce the supporting schedules fastCollaborate with the Controller and CFO on process improvements, system enhancements, and scaling accounting workflows for a growth-stage environmentStrengthen internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesManage general ledger activities, month end close processes, and account reconciliationsPrepare and review financial statements, supporting documentation and variance analysisSupport annual audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal control standardsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staffQualifications5–7 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience within SaaS or subscription-based business modelsBackground working in growth-stage or rapidly scaling companiesProficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)Demonstrated experience preparing for audits and producing PBC schedulesStrong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworksHighly hands-on, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsCPA license preferred; active or inactive status will be consideredBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) planGenerous PTOHybrid work environment (3 days in office)
