Data Entry Associate—Part Time

Thepart-timeData EntryAssociateis the heart ofIowaNatural Heritage Foundation’s donor program, with dailyresponsibilities for processing donations and donor information. The ideal candidate will be meticulous with details, have experience in donor database systems (preferably Salesforce NPSP), effectively communicate with their team, enjoy efficient problem solving, and value the power of good data. 80% Daily Gift Processing Provide daily donor and gift data entry and coordinate proofing. Clarify details of gifts with donors and team to ensure accurate database entry and recognition. Responsible for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of donor gift data. Coordinates with other staff in the acknowledgement process for gifts of cash, in-kind gifts, stock gifts, online transactions, etc. Oversee data coming from the suite of online giving tools that interface with the donor database. Assist with monthly reconciliation needs. Solid, consistent database functions. Smooth and efficient internal communications. Timely, consistent and accurate entry, proofing and acknowledgements. Gift information shared with staff in a timely manner. Acknowledgement letters are accurate and reflect special intentions or circumstances. Security and Accreditation guidelines are followed. 15% Data Management Help with data entry as needed for events, campaigns and information requests. Assist with monthly donor renewal program reporting needs. Periodically clean data for change of address, duplication reduction, and format consistency. Event data is entered within 1 week of the event, as needed for campaigns, and daily for information requests. Renewal lists are accurate and timely. Reports are clean and consistent. 5% Professional Development, Administration & Team Support Participate in appropriate professional development training. Share information with other staff. Participate in team, staff and board meetings. A strong sense of working as a team to accomplish a larger goal. Is an active collaborator. Attends most meetings. This part-time(20-32 hours perweek),non-exempt positionis primarily office-based at our Des Moines headquarters during regular business hours,Monday through Friday,with flexibility for occasional remote work.There will beopportunities for travel statewide toparticipatein events with staff,donorsor volunteers. TheData Entry Associatereports to theDonor RelationsOfficer, works closely with the development, administrative and land staff teams, and has no supervisoryresponsibilities. A successfuldata entry associate isobservant, analytical, committed totheteam’ssuccess, an effective communicator, serious about data quality, and respectful of donor desires. Skills Proficient indata entry, familiarity with Salesforce, andtheMicrosoft Officesuite. Basic knowledge ofonline giving systems (FundraiseUp, PayPal, Venmo,etc). Strong interpersonal skills and organizational ability. Qualifications 2 to 3 years ofdonor databaseexperience, preferablywith Salesforce. Interest in nonprofit work, and personal alignment with our organization’s mission. Demonstratedability to work well with others.
