Senior Bridge Inspector

Senior Bridge Construction InspectorWe are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Construction Inspector for the Transportation-Construction Management team in the Sarasota and Tampa, FL areas. As a Senior Bridge Construction Inspector, you will monitor the contractor's on-site construction activities and inspect materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions for the construction contract. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, is enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and dependable.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Maintain detailed records of the contractor's daily operations and events that affect the work, monitoring, and inspecting contractor's work zone traffic control plan as well as reviewing modifications to the plan.Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contractPrepare and check engineering computationsInspect the construction work and conduct field testsManage the team of inspectors (coordinate their schedules, etc.)Ability to mentor and manage others on the team, along with complex construction projectsQualifications:HS Diploma or equivalent8+ years of construction experience with 4+ years in bridge inspection or a Civil Engineering degree, and 4 years of road and bridge construction engineering and inspection experience.Valid Driver's License and a good driving recordMust obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in the specified time framesAbility to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periodsAbility to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasksAbility to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protectionAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsPreferred Certifications / Credentials:OSHA 10 HourFDOT CertificationsACI Level 1Nuclear Gauge and Hazmat Safety TrainingIf this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.
