Technical Support SpecialistGenesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a direct placement position with a Managed Services Provider located in Pennington, NJ.As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated client services team for a fast-growing company. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical business systems and information that specific customers rely on. You will provide dedicated technical support and serve as the primary onsite resource, with support from a remote team.Responsibilities:Provide excellent dedicated technical support for specific client customersTake ownership of problems from notification to resolution, including trouble ticket tracking and escalationDocument problems and report to customer management and the Network Operations CenterSupport software and hardware installation, troubleshooting, and configurationPerform workstation imaging and re-imaging (Microsoft Windows)Coordinate and implement device and network changes as requested by the customerTroubleshoot peripherals, cards, and cablingAssist end-users with platform and technology-specific guidancePerform operational and administrative tasks to maintain high standards of system performance and availabilityProvide timely status updates for outstanding issuesEscalate service interruptions and issues according to established proceduresDevelop subject matter expertise in customer-specific tools, technologies, and processesDocument critical IT dependencies and collaborate with internal and external teams to remediate gapsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in information technology, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience1-3 years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support roleExceptional time management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skillsExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to come across as personable and confidentAbility to identify opportunities for critical process improvementCommitted to Integrity and ProfessionalismDesired Skills:A thirst for knowledge and continual improvementAble to demonstrate leadership and ownership regardless of position or tenureExperience with any of the following: switching and routing, systems and storage management, databases, firewalls, and optical networkingPay rate range: $60K - $65K a year.
