Showroom Manager

Showroom Manager – Charlotte, NC

Cregger Company is seeking an experienced, sales-driven Showroom Manager to lead our Charlotte showroom. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for growing showroom sales and profitability, developing a high-performing sales team, building relationships throughout the Charlotte design and construction community, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Showroom Manager will lead the day-to-day showroom business while actively developing relationships with builders, interior designers, architects, remodelers, contractors, plumbers, homeowners, and other trade professionals.

The ideal candidate combines strong sales leadership with an appreciation for design, premium residential products, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

· Lead showroom sales efforts and drive revenue, gross profit, and overall business growth.

· Establish sales goals and activity expectations and regularly review results, pipeline, quotes, and conversion opportunities.

· Develop new business with builders, designers, architects, remodelers, contractors, plumbers, and other trade professionals.

· Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers and key accounts.

· Consult with customers on product selections based on project requirements, design objectives, budget, and application.

· Prepare and review quotes and proposals and help move opportunities successfully through the sales process.

· Participate in outside sales activities, customer visits, networking events, trade events, and other business-development opportunities.

· Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership

· Lead, coach, and develop showroom consultants and sales associates.

· Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for sales performance, customer follow-up, pipeline management, and service.

· Conduct regular sales and pipeline reviews and coach team members to improve close rates, gross profit, and customer development.

· Coordinate ongoing product, sales, and professional-development training.

· Build a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused showroom culture.

Showroom Operations & Customer Experience

· Oversee daily showroom operations and ensure a professional, organized, welcoming, and design-forward environment.

· Take ownership of the overall customer experience from the initial showroom visit through product selection, quoting, ordering, and issue resolution.

· Maintain showroom displays, samples, literature, pricing, and merchandising.

· Work closely with purchasing, operations, warehouse, inventory, and company leadership to support customers and ensure effective execution.

· Maintain company showroom standards, policies, and procedures.

Vendor & Product Management

· Develop strong relationships with manufacturers and vendor representatives.

· Stay current on new products, technology, pricing, promotions, and residential design trends.

· Coordinate product displays, samples, vendor training, and showroom updates.

· Identify opportunities to introduce new products and improve the showroom product mix.

Marketing, Events & Community Engagement

· Partner with company leadership and marketing to develop showroom promotions and market-development initiatives.

· Help plan and execute builder, designer, architect, and customer events, product launches, educational programs, and other showroom activities.

· Build Cregger Company's presence within the Charlotte design, building, remodeling, and trade communities.

· Represent Cregger Company at networking events, trade shows, vendor events, and industry functions.

Qualifications Required

· 5+ years of showroom, retail, design, sales, or sales-management experience preferred.

· Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a sales team.

· Proven ability to achieve sales goals, develop new business, and build long-term customer relationships.

· Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple customer projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong commitment to customer service and professional follow-through.

Preferred

· Experience in plumbing, lighting, appliances, kitchen and bath, interior design, home improvement, construction, or premium residential products.

· Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling.

· Existing relationships within the Charlotte builder, designer, architect, contractor, or remodeling community are a plus.

· Experience with product specification, merchandising, or showroom design.
