Senior Engineer

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Hands on keyboard engineer with experience in the DevOps space and, preferably, experience in the big data space.

• Thought leader in the team in the DevOps and CI/CD space

• Develop templatized, configuration driven applications that are easy to maintain

• Develop and maintain performance efficient applications that extract, load, and transform data in our data lake

• Maintain and secure sensitive data and information

• Develop applications with Test Driven or Behavioral Driven Development approach

• Architect and improve current solutions to use best of the industry patterns in the DevOps space

• Work in a high-performance agile team to deliver on the committed work

• Adapt to and learn about state-of-the-art technologies that can improve our current solution

Qualifications and Technical Skills (any version of the following)

• Primary: DevOps tools (ADO preferred), Java, Python, Helm Charts, Maven (or similar POM based tools), Spark, Spring Boot

• Secondary: Scala, Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, HBase, etc.), Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Orchestration tools (like Airflow).
