Project Manager - Multi Family

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Project Manager - Multi Family to join an established mechanical construction and engineering services team in Seattle, WA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a construction project management professional who understands multifamily mechanical projects and can confidently lead complex work from planning through completion.

This role offers the opportunity to own high-visibility projects, build strong client relationships, and work closely with field teams, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal partners. The environment is collaborative, professional, and focused on delivering quality work while supporting project teams with clear communication, strong leadership, and accountability.

The right candidate will enjoy balancing the technical details of mechanical construction with the bigger picture of schedule, budget, client experience, and overall project success.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multifamily mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout, including schedule, budget, scope, documentation, and performance.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects aligned and moving forward.
- Serve as a trusted client-facing point of contact while delivering a high-touch, professional customer experience.
- Lead larger, more complex projects while identifying issues early and driving proactive solutions.
- Spend approximately one week per month in the field to support project visibility, field operations, and job-site coordination.
- Maintain strong communication, accountability, and decision-making when project challenges arise.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $95,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Seattle, WA.
- Target start: Mid-September.
- Field presence: Approximately one week per month.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage multifamily mechanical construction projects from planning through completion.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, scope, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal partners.
- Support field operations and maintain visibility on active construction sites.

- 3 to 5 years of project management experience in mechanical construction or a closely related construction environment.
- Multifamily construction experience is required.
- Experience managing larger-scale, complex construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction project management, job-site operations, and safety expectations.
- Proven client-facing experience with a customer-service-focused approach.
- Ability to communicate clearly, directly, and professionally, including during difficult conversations.
- Strong judgment, accountability, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Calm, level-headed leadership style with the ability to keep teams focused on project goals.
- Willingness to travel to or work in the field approximately one week per month.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing mechanical scopes on large multifamily developments.
- Familiarity with subcontractor, vendor, and general contractor coordination in active construction environments.
- Ability to balance strategic project leadership with detailed follow-through on documentation, scope, and schedule.
- Experience supporting projects in the Seattle or Pacific Northwest construction market.
