Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in critical care License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Open Heart experience including CABG, Valve post-op, Impella, IABP, CRRT EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment Epic charting system experience Description: Two Registered Nurses are needed with Open Heart experience. Candidates must have experience with CABG, Valve post-op, Impella, IABP, and CRRT. Targeted patient ratios are 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients. Candidates must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association is required. Candidates must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. An Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required. A valid Registered Nurse license is mandatory. Two years of experience is required. Epic experience is necessary. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Floating may be required based on staffing needs. Travelers will be first to float at the facility's discretion. The daily census in the unit is approximately 24 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams and respiratory services. Special procedures and diagnoses include cardiac surgeries and respiratory illnesses. Customer service is a top priority. The unit's patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. No references are required for application. Local travelers are not accepted within a specific radius. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests.
