Travel Registered Nurse Job Details

• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Dallas, Texas 75231
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650
• Assignment Dates: November 16, 2026 through February 14, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: As needed
• Healthcare Setting: 38-bed Emergency Department in a Level I trauma and teaching environment
• Patient Population: Patients of all ages and diagnoses
• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 200 patients
• Patient-to-RN Ratio: Approximately 4:1

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required at the start of the assignment
• CPI certification required within 30 days of the start date
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong patient assessment, triage, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan.
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients according to acuity and presenting condition.
• Manage care for a broad range of medical, surgical, traumatic, and emergent diagnoses.
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments, initiate emergency interventions, and assist with procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and disposition plans accurately.
• Support a high-volume Level I trauma and teaching environment while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.
