Profession: RN Specialty: Clinical Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 4 years of experience required, orthopedic experience required, Epic experience preferred License: RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: 4 years of experience Orthopedic experience required Epic experience preferred Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery by the healthcare team.Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients and identifies nursing diagnoses based on their responses to health problems.The RN develops and implements an individualized plan of care and evaluates the patient's response.Promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of their needs to assist them through the healthcare encounter.Delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on each patient's condition and the competencies of the employee. The RN role covers hospital inpatient and outpatient departments that require 24/ 7 staffing.Examples include GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, Infusion Centers, and IV Services. Essential Functions Clinical Judgment: Conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards.Identifies and prioritizes patient and family needs.Develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing plan of care.Modifies plans to meet clinical outcomes.
