Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SPED K-12 221 licensure required (mild/moderate or moderate/severe credential accepted)
• Previous experience in self-contained settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom, designing effective instruction for elementary or middle school students (specific grade levels and caseload to be determined)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services providers, and families to ensure student progress
• Monitor, assess, and document student performance and development
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, compliant documentation
• Cultivate a positive learning atmosphere that encourages independence and self-advocacy
