Director of Nursing

Job Summary:

428 Healthcare is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Skilled Nursing Community in Lamar, CO. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest level of care for our residents, and promoting a positive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate resident care with a "hands-on" management style

• Develop, review, and revise nursing and clinical policies

• Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents

• Lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant

• Focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions

• Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded

• Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment

Requirements:

• 3 years of supervisory experience (Required)

• 5 years of experience in long-term care (Required)

• RN license (Required)

• CPR/First Aid certification (Required)

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively

• Knowledge of Long Term Care Regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work days, but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
