Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer – 12V Battery Systems to join our Automotive Systems Engineering team. This role will focus on the architecture, development, integration, and validation of 12V Battery Systems , Body Control Modules (BCM) , and Body Electronics for next-generation electric and autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive systems engineering , functional safety , requirements management , and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) , with experience supporting OEMs or Tier‑1 suppliers throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead systems engineering activities for 12V Battery Systems , Body Control Modules (BCM) , and Body Electronics . Define system architecture, feature behavior, functional requirements, and interface specifications. Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements using JAMA, DOORS, or Polarion. Perform requirements decomposition and maintain end‑to‑end traceability throughout the V-Model development lifecycle. Create system architecture models using SysML, Enterprise Architect, Cameo, or MagicDraw. Develop functional safety work products in compliance with ISO 26262 , including: Functional Safety Requirements (FSRs) Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) Software Safety Requirements (SSRs) System FMEA Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Define fault detection, diagnostics, and fail‑safe/fail‑operational strategies for automotive E/E systems. Collaborate with hardware, software, controls, validation, and manufacturing teams throughout product development. Support system integration, vehicle testing, verification, and validation activities. Participate in root cause analysis, issue resolution, and production support. Support ASPICE‑compliant development processes and engineering documentation. Work closely with OEM customers and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful program execution. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years of automotive systems engineering experience. Hands‑on experience with 12V Battery Systems , Body Electronics , BCM, or Power Distribution Systems. Experience working with OEMs or Tier‑1 automotive suppliers. Strong understanding of automotive E/E architecture and embedded systems. Experience throughout the complete Systems Engineering V-Model lifecycle. Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture. Working knowledge of embedded C/C++ software. Experience with AI/ML-enabled automotive systems is a plus. INCOSE certification or Systems Engineering certification is preferred.
