Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated Family Law Attorney in Cerritos, CA. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and domestic violence restraining orders. This role requires managing a diverse caseload, conducting legal research, and advocating for clients' rights with professionalism and compassion. Duties Represent clients in family law cases such as divorce and child custody disputes. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings and settlement agreements. Conduct discovery and respond to document production demands. Prepare for and appear in court hearings and trials. Conduct legal research and develop case strategies. Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel. Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients. Provide comprehensive legal advice in Family Law. Maintain accurate and timely case documentation. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience handling Family Law cases. Bilingual ability (Spanish). Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong negotiation skills.
