Safety Coordinator

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet seeks a Safety Coordinator to coordinate the development and implementation of a safety and/or health program in District 1, McCracken County. Summary of Responsibilities Conducts safety audits and investigations. Identifies and manages risks to health and safety in the workplace. Reports safety and health violation and investigative results with recommended corrective action. Coordinates and develops training programs. Ideal Candidate Experience Making oral presentations and conducting training sessions for small to large groups. Advanced computer skills. Graduate of a college or university with an accredited bachelor's degree. Minimum 2 years in safety operations or inspection, incident management, or emergency services. Minimum Requirements Education: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. Experience: Two years in safety operations or inspection, incident management, or emergency services. Additional administrative, safety operations and/or inspection, incident management, or emergency services experience may substitute for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.
